CUSTOMS & DUTIES POLICY

Last Updated: August 31, 2026

At Luna Artesana, we aim to provide clear and transparent information regarding taxes, customs procedures, and potential import charges associated with your order.

Please read this policy carefully before completing your purchase.

1. INTERNATIONAL FULFILLMENT

Luna Artesana operates using an international dropshipping and fulfillment model.

Orders may be sourced, prepared, and fulfilled through our logistics and fulfillment partner, FFOrder, with products potentially shipped directly from fulfillment facilities outside the European Union to customers in Spain.

Depending on the product and shipping route, the country of origin, customs arrangements, and applicable regulations may vary.

2. SHIPPING FROM OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

When a product is shipped from outside the European Union, the shipment may be subject to customs procedures, import VAT, customs duties, or other applicable charges.

The applicable treatment depends on factors including:

  • Product type;

  • Product value;

  • Country of origin;

  • Destination;

  • Shipping route;

  • Customs clearance method;

  • Applicable Spanish and European Union regulations.

3. VAT

VAT treatment may vary depending on the specific order and the applicable tax and import rules.

Where applicable, VAT may be collected during the checkout process or handled through the relevant import or tax mechanism.

The final tax treatment may depend on the product, destination, value of the shipment, and shipping arrangement.

Luna Artesana does not represent that the same VAT treatment applies to every product or shipment.

4. CUSTOMS DUTIES AND IMPORT CHARGES

Depending on the applicable regulations and shipping arrangement, customs duties or other import charges may apply.

Where such charges are applicable and are not already included or collected through the applicable shipping or tax arrangement, the customer may be responsible for paying them.

Where possible, Luna Artesana will provide information regarding applicable charges before the customer completes the purchase.

5. DDP AND CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

FFOrder may provide DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) or other customs-clearance options for eligible products and shipping routes.

However, the availability of DDP or another customs arrangement depends on the specific product, destination, declared value, and selected shipping route.

Therefore, Luna Artesana does not guarantee that DDP will be available for every order.

Where a shipping method includes applicable duties and taxes, the relevant treatment will be reflected in the applicable shipping or checkout information.

6. IOSS AND OTHER VAT SCHEMES

Where legally applicable, Luna Artesana may use an appropriate VAT collection or import scheme, including the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) for eligible transactions.

The use of IOSS or another tax mechanism depends on the specific transaction and applicable legal requirements.

IOSS is not automatically applicable to every order.

7. CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

Customs authorities may inspect shipments or request additional information or documentation.

If additional information is required from the customer, the customer should provide accurate information as soon as reasonably possible.

Customs clearance times are outside the direct control of Luna Artesana and may affect delivery times.

8. CUSTOMER INFORMATION

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information required to process and deliver their orders, including:

  • Full name;

  • Complete delivery address;

  • Postal code;

  • City;

  • Telephone number where required;

  • Any other information reasonably required for delivery or customs clearance.

Luna Artesana will not knowingly misdeclare the value, nature, or contents of an order for the purpose of avoiding applicable taxes, duties, or customs requirements.

9. CUSTOMS DELAYS

Customs authorities may delay shipments for inspection, verification, documentation, or other regulatory reasons.

Such delays are outside the reasonable control of Luna Artesana.

If a shipment is delayed by customs, we will make reasonable efforts to assist the customer and, where possible, work with our fulfillment and shipping partners to investigate the situation.

10. REFUSED OR UNCLAIMED SHIPMENTS

If a shipment is refused, abandoned, or remains unclaimed because of customs requirements, unpaid applicable charges, or failure to provide information requested by the carrier or customs authorities, Luna Artesana will review the circumstances and applicable consumer rights before determining the appropriate resolution.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

11. PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED PRODUCTS

Certain products may be subject to specific import, safety, labeling, or regulatory requirements in Spain or the European Union.

Luna Artesana works with its fulfillment partner to select appropriate shipping routes and product arrangements.

Where a product is subject to specific restrictions or requirements that materially affect the purchase, the relevant information will be provided where required by applicable law.

12. TRANSPARENCY OF COSTS

Luna Artesana aims to provide customers with clear information about:

  • Product prices;

  • Shipping costs;

  • Applicable taxes;

  • Customs duties or import charges where known and applicable.

Any charges that are required to be disclosed before purchase under applicable law will be communicated during the purchasing process.
